Different worlds have always coexisted inside me, so much so that people identify me with words such as industrialist, innovator, collector... today I add the term artist with enthusiasm. Thanks to my love for abstract art, I have transferred my experiences to a new audience and I have improved my career by combining the figure of Umberto Cabini, entrepreneur and art lover, with that of the artist known as Hubert Cursed.
My story began in Milan, a very lively cultural center and I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the creativity that surrounded me. Art, design, culture and innovation have become essential for my personal growth.

For years I have curated projects pushing the boundaries of how art, design and artistic expression are experienced: it has been exciting to help new artists find their space in the world, bring people together through events I have organised, and even publish books that have enabled others to share their work with the rest of the world.
After having done all this with great passion and interest, I too felt the need to speak with my artistic language. It was in 2020, when many of us took advantage of the isolation caused by the pandemic to discover hidden parts of ourselves, that I took hold of the brush and found my way of expressing myself in abstraction.
My work is about natural growth based on my intuition. I add layer upon layer, scratch and erase and create signs with gestures that combine color, shape and texture. The combination of spontaneity and unpredictability is accompanied by the mastery and control of the artistic technique that allows me to transfer the love for my imaginary world with its color combinations and references to abstract art onto canvas.
